Snowman & the Muskrat

Recently had a nice treat from my buddy Justin Bolduc from Cincinnati. He brought up his Clackacraft drift boat giving me the opportunity to "Hog" the front of the boat for the majority of the trip.  It was about a ten mile float that went rather quickly despite the distance.  The conditions being not ideal...with the water very clear..we set out to throw the big stuff & that we did.  Not a stellar day by no means, but were able to land four nice fish and many followers & misses.  Here's a few pics of the day...cant wait to do it again soon.. What a gorgeous setting it was!!!
The boat suited me just  fine

Snowman & the Muskrat because all day I was getting lucky throwing my fly up & on the ice / snow that was covering the banks, while dropping it off in a nice presentation all day...  when one time a muskrat came out and chased my fly multiple times ..at one point Justin & I thought I hooked it...but luckly not ..and so how I was named the Snowman & the fly the Muskrat..

First fish to the net on the Muskrat..and game on...

This guy was all predatory...taking the fly without hesitation...which by the way is a J. Bolduc original..need a few more of these guys  in my fly box...

What a great fish with a cool setting ...fog all day and the river to ourselves...Thanks Justin for a great day and the pictures....

Not able to get a pic of Justins fish....thought I should show his efforts a couple weeks ago on the S. Holston!
Here he is giving it hell this day...some great action
South Holston brown.

Very Nice
Cant wait to get back out there again...give me a shout & see you on the water..Tight Lines
